How to Get Over/ Keep Away the Book Slumps

The Book Slumps can be nightmarish,  they can arise from reading to much or simply not reading enough, trying to read a book you can't get into or just a book you don't want to read but have to. 

Book Slumps can last any period of time including months of not wanting to read and being uninterested in books. And lets be honest we don't like or want the Book Slumps. 


So this is my advice for overcoming or avoiding this agonizing time:

Stop Reading!. If you feel the slumps approaching or are in the slumps stop reading immediately,  the more you push yourself to read the worse the damage can be. 

Just Look at Books. Just looking at books can help,  looking at the covers of books can be relaxing and calming for me and will make me want to pick up a book or feel inspired. 

Snacks!. Snacks can make all the difference!. 

Go to Your `Go to book'.  Re- reading one of your beloved all time favorite books can help jump start you back into reading... Yay!.

Online Window Bookshop. This can ignite the book flame and make you fall in love with reading again. 

Bookshop. Wether it is window shopping or actually bookshopping you will feel so much better by going to a bookshop. 

Watch Booktubers. My two favorite booktubers are abookutopia and Epic Reads, they make me fall in love more and more just by uploading book related videos.

Read Book Articles/Reviews.  This can help you find a new book to read or help keep your interest in reading.

Set Up Book Goals. This can help in both scenarios wether it is just 50 pages a day or a book every three days this can help slowly return you to full reading potential.

I hope my advice helps to ward off f the evil Book Slumps.
