Guide to Dealing With a Book Hangover

Now if you are a frequent and avid book experiencer then it is likely you have experienced the heart clenching pain that is a Book Hangover.

If you haven't experienced a Book Hangover then let me explain it as best as I can. A Book Hangover is like being told christmas has been canceled and in fact no there will zero presents, like being told a spoiler or the ending of a book you have just started reading and it's like when you  really want some chocolate and finding out there is none in the house.

You finish a book and you are just mind blown, you can't get over the events in the book or the ending of the book. You become a robot immune to everything but that book, you can't start a new book because you just aren't ready to get over that Hangover book nor can your mind overcome this obstacle that is called a Book Hangover.

So how do we get past such an emotional saddening time?

Step 1. I sugest a good cry. It doesn't matter how long you cry just let it out.

Step 2. Drink lots of Tea/Coffee. Gallons of the stuff preferably.

Step 3. Snacks. Either healthy or unhealthy, as much snacking as you can really the better.

Step 4. Forums. A good rant on some type of media or forum could be an efficient cure for the Hangover or you can find people who understand this difficult time.

Step 5. Scream into any available pillow. I'm sure the pillow won't mind too much.

Step 6. Cuddle any available animal or human. Make sure the said animal or human doesn't bite you.

Step 7. Cry some more whilst clutching the book that caused the dreaded Hangover. Let the book feel your pain

Step 8. Face plant the floor a few times. Or sofa, bed or even door.

Step 9. Do steps 1 to 7 wrapped up like a burrito. Got to keeo warm and cuddled up from all the hurt.

Step 10. Start a fresh new book and prepare for yet another Book Hangover.  Because that my friends is the Book Hangover.
